What it means
No power on the DeviceNet network: "The 24 V voltage of the DeviceNet power supply is missing." All I/O peripherals carried by the bus become inaccessible.
What to check
- Measure the 24 V at the DeviceNet connector (pin 1 = 0 V, pin 5 = +24 V).
- Check the dedicated bus power supply and its protection: a short circuit on the 24 V trips the power supply, which protects itself.
- Check the drop lines one by one.
- Check that the recovery (71412) is actually logged, otherwise the power loss persists.
- Note: Head of a cascade: in the field log, 71299 systematically precedes 71301 (bus off) within the same second, and causes the Wzone.c internal errors upstream. Seven occurrences over one year, grouped into three episodes.
