Description
A fan motor in the control unit is abnormal.
Remedy
Check the fan motors and fan motor connection cables. Replace any faulty fan motor(s) and/or cable(s).
Field diagnosis
A cabinet fan has stopped; the number in parentheses identifies the fan (1, 2, or both). One minute after the alarm, the robot stops and the teach pendant no longer responds.
What to check
- Check the fans and their cables, replace the faulty fan; then the backplane unit, then the main board (full backup beforehand).
- Note: Replace fans in pairs: the second one is the same age.
