Error

Displayed as KSS01490 on KRC4 / KRC5 controllers

KUKA 1490 (“COMPONENT CHECK FAULT”): The workpiece is damaged or is no longer firmly clamped in the clamping device. First check: Check the component.

Updated 2026-09-09 · LogrobotLM reference

Cause

The workpiece is damaged or is no longer firmly clamped in the clamping device. The check is performed from a PLC user program (bonding technology). In the "glass bonding" application, the adhesive nozzle is pressed against the glass. If this pressure is missing during bonding, the windshield may be damaged or has come loose from the clamping device. In this case, the robot motion must be stopped immediately and the application of adhesive interrupted!

Effect

Velocity stop. All active commands are inhibited. Emergency stop.

Troubleshooting

Check the component.
