Description
The pneumatic pressure alarm indicates the presence of a defect. If the pneumatic pressure alarm is not detected, however, the most likely is the PPABN signal of a robot connection cable being at the 0 V level.
Remedy
If the pneumatic pressure alarm is not detected, check the cable.
Field diagnosis
Air pressure fault reported, or the PPABN signal in the robot connection cable is at 0 V although the pressure is normal.
What to check
- Restore the pressure; otherwise check the end-effector connector and the robot connection cable (ground fault, wire break).
- If no pressure switch is fitted, disable the monitoring in the system configuration.
- Note: After a tool change, a pressure switch that has not been rewired is the most frequent cause.
