Description

Charging of the main circuit could not finish within the specified time.

Remedy

The DC link might a short-circuit. Check the connections. Electric resistance to restrict charge current might be defective. Replace the wiring board. Refer to the maintenance manual for details.

Field diagnosis

The DC bus capacitors did not reach their voltage within the allotted time when power was applied.

What to check

  • Check the input voltage; check the connector between the amplifier and the emergency stop board (CRRA12 on R-30iB); emergency stop unit, then amplifier, then auxiliary axis amplifier if applicable.
  • Note: A main contactor with pitted contacts gives CHGAL one start in three.
