Description
The teach pendant is enabled, but the DEADMAN switch is not pressed. The DEADMAN switch is a three position switch. The switch is enabled in the middle position only.
Remedy
1. Press the DEADMAN switch to run the robot. 2. If the problem still exists, replace the teach pendant.
Field diagnosis
Teach pendant enabled but the deadman switch is not held in the intermediate position; on three-position switches, pressing it fully also trips it.
What to check
- Grip the deadman switch again in the middle position and reset.
- Check that the mode select switch on the operator panel and the teach pendant ON/OFF switch are consistent.
- If the fault appears without anyone handling it, replace the teach pendant.
- Note: A worn deadman switch that no longer holds the middle position causes random SRVO-003 alarms during teaching.
